stay tuned rise of the Falcon is next episode of Rise of the Falcon we check in on another cool after school club listen to the how heck of students feel about Bing okay child take a look around at all of the fun things that students are learning about the Falcon starts now become Elementary which we never will be in the same faces you will see a campus by the Sea Jaded by Green Tree of Life for you and me Lego rainbow Adventure Tarantino movie theater Hickam Elementary School like a rainbow raise your voice welcome to another episode of Rise of the socket I'm Haley Wood Aaron Angry Dragon driver and I'm in about an hour I'm waiting on D and I'm Sophia has a baby doll and I'm always actually we start off this episode with another friend club we have here at our school see what the members arguing and see 15 texts and books is led by Miss Perkins and Miss Robert died students get to read books and do a cooking lesson based on the bus but the box was Katarina and the Avo the month of the military child let's hear from our very own hiccup students and how they feel about being a military child. Being in military time all of the food I get in a roof over my head do you travel a lot of places yes what is your favorite place you've traveled upon what do you like about being a military child I like how you get to move a lot in two different places is very fun where's your favorite place that you've been to probably Virginia at cuz I got to me a lot of new the agents what do you like about being a military child I like how you get to move and see different places what places have you been to New Jersey Washington d.c. Seattle has some great places are there any are there any things about being a military child you don't like when you move you kind of lose friends that you met in the place you work like to be a military child I like to visit the whole United States so page what do you like about being a military child I like being a military child because I got to travel to different places somebody what do you like about being a military child I get to travel to a lot of new places what you like about being a military child I like being a military child because you get to meet a lot of new friends when you go to new schools and other places what are the places you've been to Washington California and George which replaces your favorite Washington why because I like how it smells there what you don't like about being a military child X your your parents have to work and you like to spend time with them but they can't spend time with you so Luke what do you like about being a military child that you can move their other you can go to other places and we can meet new friends have you been to Delaware Washington State and Hawaii places are there any things that you don't like about being a military child I don't like about being in the military child is that when you move you might miss your friends looking for your time as you can see students like being military children on Reagan driver dear watching rise of the Falcon the 15th maintenance Squadron has maintained an official partnership with Hickam Elementary for the past four years members of the 15th maintenance Squadron along with members of the military came to come to help us celebrate purple up day of the military military children are brave strong and resilient and other members of the military came to pick up to sell perfect day they created the students gave out Flags in to them on to make them feel good about being a military child WTI and a good Fairlife also decorated this gold balloons and sides the PTO and Ingrid for life also made a Wings mural where students could take pictures in front of it purple is the official color of the military child it is a combination of all the colors of the u.s. Armed Forces Air Force Navy and Coast Guard Blues army green and Marine Corps red military child Purple Heart free military games now it's here for major fan the command the 15th maintenance Squadron major Eugene fan about being in the military you know just the opportunity to to serve to work with great people to travel the world all those are art are great reasons in terms of why why I love serving the military places have you been I have been in many different times so far started in Omaha Nebraska went to Korea than the United Kingdom went to Texas South Carolina Washington DC and then out here so a lot of moves over which place is your favorite is anything else you like about being in the military I love doing events like this so just an opportunity for us to say thank you to our purple up kids and honor the sacrifice that our military kids make every single day cuz you guys serve to right so I just a really cool experience and opportunity at 2 to be part of an event like this the Falcons I'm heavy what are you with the rise of the and today I'm here with the door open it's really nice to come out here and just show these kids how much appreciation we have for them and also for their parents they really have come out here and you know just take your time and do you know where have you been I've only been to Florida Chicago and ear pain child celebration we would like to thank members of the 15th maintenance group which consists of the 15th and meanest quadrant and the 50th aircraft maintenance Squadron we would also like to thank the National Guard 154 Medical Group in the Navy nctams Pac for volunteering and passing out by cheering and waving and make it nice and special as the students came to school to thank the PTO for providing cookies the pcmc mrs. Jones and mrs. man. For decorating the wings mural trivia night and coordinating he's a wonderful of it I didn't know that there was so many great things about being a military child yeah it's great speaking of great let's take a look at some of the great things that are happening at our school curriculum Fair Day the day where students got to Showcase all the wonderful things they have been learning in school this year's theme was Falcon animators students had to study of real-world problem and find a solution I learned about the side please cuz I want to make the animals really up to this and have a good I'm in the ocean take down stockinette after you use them protect itself by itself has a Hawaiian monk seal and he can protect it by not literally I like to see this project because I'm on my way to tell people that you really need to watch out for like I am was because there was only some danger Migos video I did 2 days Stratosphere gold and silver and the number that they are against the wrote down all the stuff right here interior pictures too kind of like explain it however that bees pollinate donation process is it when a bee fly from flower to flower dropping calling on each one of them is that they are five eyes instead of just curious if you made out of cardboard post bases it says this is the living room that's the bedroom I like you and Coast places because it was it's really fun to code and cuz you can make experiment with different like coding thing really like this project because it gives me the option to expand my knowledge about Cody and get all this I want to watch that homelessness the big problem and that we should care about people who have daily just think of that situation that you could be against everything I like about it is building its best thing I liked is that we got to go and post a new video models I think the thing I like most about doing this was was building and coding I really like that we got to build a lot of things and it was very entertaining for me to tell you about the pelayo is diet is small mammals mice and rats and sometimes they look small bird on the infographic that shows the habitat of the sea turtle and the habitat of a sea turtle is the beach Coastal Waters bass lagoons X3 you set my fake it up are not burn trees cut trees or Break Free we did it for project on reducing trash in the ocean 2 plastic an example of a number 5 plastic the problem with a single-use plastic we have the benefits of recycling it's two miles long and in Hawaiian or what if it's really fun to make a Yankee balls and cow by Route mediation really helps it with the situation of the Ally when we learned the all about the I like when it was constructed like someone so polluted I thought it was go to work together on an ally of history of the allouez project like learning about that LOL I and working in this group that is a playground for kids that can have a lot of fun I don't give a crap. love this particular unfair it was so fun to get to come into the classroom and see all the hard work that the kids put into their projects only right way for them Creator I think the most impressive thing about this was the joy the kids have indeed been sharing what they learned but no the real power of learning is when students know there's meaning of why we learning this why does it matter sixth grade students understood that their learning matter and their energy was infectious Aloha I'm so fast and spear from Hickam elementary school and I'm a 4th grader today and he was son of the temp you doing today has been a long day but we're doing pretty well thank you so what is your goal for the goal of this was just a legislative session we have to talk about Maui in the tragedies we had there with that we have to talk about recovery and rebuilding and we're talking about the actual rebuilding the structures we also have to rebuild the economy rebuild the workforce and rebuild the direction that they're going so a lot of work and be talking about during this session is how do we craft that to help out Maui but realistically it helps out the whole state I'm optimistic I think our funding is there is little concern but I think we got the funding that we should be able to move the programs forward to help out Maui but again the whole state is will be working on infrastructure will be working on housing will be working Workforce Development and the emergency response and how is that going just starting it's a kickoff right now what happens here in this building you have our legislative process we have the house and the Senate I'm a senator introduce we have well if last session we had almost two thousand two hundred bills introduced which means a lot of reading of that only 200 past so it's just at the start of the process amazing and I've also learned that you love and take care of animals how is that going even though you sent it brought me to politics was agriculture I have been a long time cattle rancher I'm up 3rd Generation cattle rancher I am a veterinarian and I do most of my practice has been working on livestock cattle and horses I was encouraged to go politics by agriculture so I can give a voice to agriculture because in order to everything that we do we have to have good public policy for agriculture it means Spell ability of lands availability of water availability of infrastructure I was talked into politics by the Kemal at Tomatoes people I went to County Council seemed to do pretty well there and then the availability of the states and the seat came open so I agreed to try it and here we are right to say to audience appreciate when young people get involved and I love the fact that we have young people asking questions what we do in building PS is for Hawaii today but realistically the long-term plan is for your generation so I like to hear your concerns I have 9 year old twins and I here I hear their opinions all the time so thanks for
