Gifted and Talented Program

At Hickam Elementary School, the personalized approach to learning helps gifted and talented elementary students grow—and thrive. Special gifted and talented classes enable exceptional students to work above grade level and achieve their highest potential in the elementary gifted and talented program. The HES Gifted and Talented program includes an inquiry-based learning and provide opportunities for students to research and problem solve across the curriculum.

The HES Gifted and Talented program will be doing Passion Projects, which is a project-based learning that places an emphasis on student individual interests with multiple opportunities for students to make real world connections and purposeful problem solving. Students will further develop their communication skills by presenting their Passion Projects through TedEdTalk event.

The HES Gifted and Talented program provides ways for students in Grades 3rd through 6th to research and problem solve across a variety of content areas.
